Terry Electric ("Terry Electric," "we," "us," or "our") is a licensed electrical contractor serving Lakewood and the Greater Denver metro. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through terry-electric.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

Contact and job details — name, phone number, email address, service type, and any notes about your job, submitted through our booking form, contact form, or chat assistant.
Chat conversations — messages you exchange with the AI chat assistant on the Site. If you share a phone number in chat so we can call or text you back, we'll use it for that purpose and store the conversation so Brian has the full context.

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the Site: an approximate city/region derived from your IP address, the pages you view, the referring website, and general device/browser information. This runs through our own first-party analytics — we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising tracker on this site.

Our AI chat assistant

The chat widget on this site is powered by third-party AI language-model providers that generate a reply based on your message and the conversation so far. We don't use these providers to build advertising profiles, and the chat's job is to answer questions and help you book service — it can always hand off to a real callback from Brian, and it's built not to give hands-on electrical safety advice.

How we use your information

To respond to booking requests, schedule service, and quote jobs.
To contact you by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry or appointment.
To generate and improve chat responses.
To understand which pages and service areas visitors care about, so we can improve the Site.
To comply with legal obligations and protect against misuse of the Site.

Calls and text messages

By submitting your phone number through our booking form, contact form, or chat, you consent to receive calls and text messages from Terry Electric related to your inquiry, including appointment confirmations and follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of booking any service. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by calling us at (720) 340‑6364.

Cookies and local storage

We don't run third-party ad-tracking cookies. The Site uses a small amount of first-party browser storage strictly to make the Site work: a session ID for your chat conversation, a saved key if Brian signs in to the owner dashboard, and a flag so the "need help?" prompt doesn't reappear after you've dismissed it once. None of this is sold or shared with advertisers.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

Service providers who help us operate the Site and respond to you — our web host, backend/hosting provider, email and text-messaging providers, and the AI providers behind the chat assistant.
Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.

Data retention

We retain booking requests, contact submissions, and chat transcripts for as long as reasonably necessary to provide service, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the information below. If you're a Colorado resident, you may have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act; we'll honor valid requests to the extent the law applies to us.

Children's privacy

Our Site and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
